This report is very very immature. A very wrong interpretation has been made in this report especially with regard to the landslide mass increase. Use of satellite images has been made so as to cheat the readers. An organization like ICIMOD should adequately discuss things among various experts before publishing. People who cannot identify landslides on ground cannot identify them on satellite images too, and in this particular report (images), they have tried to give an impression that the SETI River disasters were indeed because of landslide dam bursting. If it were a speculation only, there was no need of satellite images. Please avoid disseminating misleading information.
